Town & Country Carriages

was established in 2006 by owner and operator Bo Lewis. 

Bo had a lifelong dream of owning his own carriage company, but the timing just never seemed to be right.

 Then in 2006, after praying long and hard about it, the doors just seemed to open at last.

He had always been a little fascinated with the Amish and thier way of life. They work hard, and life seems to move at a slower pace that we sorta envy this day and time. So upon visiting Amish country in beautiful Shipshewana, Indiana, it seemed only fitting that he purchase his equipment there and before you know it Town & Country Carriages was born.

The vis-a-vis carriage, and the 6 passenger sleigh were both made in Shipshewana, Indiana and were handcrafted by the Amish.

 Our team of black Percharons, (Flash & Jack) were raised and trained by the Amish in Shiphewana, Indiana as well.

Our pioneer forecart was made by the Amish in Muddy Pond, Tennessee.
